We at CTBR are a group of men and women who have recovered from a variety of addictions including codependence, drugs and alcohol. We are committed to helping others find the solution to their problem through the process given to us by the AA founders – the principles and spiritual experience of the 12 Steps of AA. We do this through weekend retreats, workshops and other events that provide the tools and directions to discover and experience the power of a spiritual awakening.
Came to Believe retreat leaders have many years of continuous sobriety… one beginning in January 1964, and most have over 15 years. Some or our members having been sponsored personally by Clarence Snyder (The Home Brewmeister, AA Big Book, Editions 1 – 3). We honor the original AA success and treasure our history of doing these retreats together. We know that this legacy must inform how we carry this message forward to meet the needs of the future generations. Our retreat teams represent the front line for connecting newcomers to wisdom and truth to enable them to make vital transformations necessary for profound change in their lives and the lives of loved ones.
In addition to working to facilitate personal transformations at events, we work together to grow a global conversation of hope around proven recovery solutions. Being in this community of recovered men and women enriches our faith, connects our fellowship and provides us lots of fun. Faith, fellowship and fun – a trifecta. We travel between the retreats and have fabulous adventures with like-minded people – all in the name of spreading the message of recovery and love. Nice work if you can get it – and you can.
