(CTBR) is pleased to welcome three accomplished leaders to its Board of Directors: Atticus Firey (CA), Kathleen Mullen, (FL) and Rebecca L. Smith (NY). Their diverse expertise, corporate strategy, and nonprofit philanthropy will support CTBR’s mission to expand recovery programs and partnerships nationwide.

Atticus Firey joins CTBR from The Salvation Army ARC Command Western Territory, where he serves as Director of Strategic Projects. Before his current leadership role, Atticus completed The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) program, experiencing firsthand the transformative power of spiritual recovery. He later served as Intake Coordinator and Donor Development Manager, enhancing fundraising strategies and cultivating partnerships. His unique journey from entrepreneur to recovery advocate and nonprofit strategist highlights his deep commitment to service, spiritual transformation, and sustainable impact.
Kathleen Mullen, a Florida resident and seasoned corporate leader, started a consulting business after a distinguished career with Emerson and General Electric. Throughout her career, Kathleen specialized in B2B industrial value solutions and third-party management, leveraging her operational and strategic planning expertise to drive growth and collaboration across large business ecosystems. She also served on the board of a nonprofit organization that provided services to underprivileged families in her community. As a board member, she will help guide CTBR’s financial stewardship, governance, and organizational scalability as the nonprofit expands its national footprint.
Rebecca L. Smith serves as Divisional Director of Philanthropy for The Salvation Army Greater New York Division, the largest social services provider in the country. In this role, she leads a team in executing major gift strategies, grants, donor engagement, estate planning, and corporate partnerships that fuel critical programming for individuals and families in need. Before joining The Salvation Army, Rebecca worked in consulting and nonprofit leadership roles informed by her background in social work and nonprofit management. Her expertise in mission-aligned fundraising, strategic communications, and community engagement will be instrumental in supporting CTBR’s long-term development and outreach initiatives.
